About

It’s a long-told tale that it is difficult to get your foot in the door for a job in television, film or radio. It’s even more challenging if you’re the one wanting to tell the stories. So, how do you do it? Is your way with words, your way in? Are you an aspiring writer, itching to pen your script for the screen or airwaves? Join us to hear directly from the mouths of Northern Irish screenwriters to find out how they got their foot on the industry ladder, themselves into a writer’s room, and a project of theirs onto local indie’s development slates. Is there a right or wrong journey towards scripting your own TV series, single film, animation, or audio drama? Listen to four former BBC Writers’ alumni, in conversation with an experienced commissioning executive, programme-maker, and script editor.
