Television industry leader and innovator
For more than 17 years, Sara Kozak was senior vice president, head of production at Warner Bros. Discovery, where she led nonfiction content for Investigation Discovery (ID) and the streaming platform Max. Kozak oversaw production on thousands of hours of unscripted content, including series that remain some of WBD’s strongest revenue drivers. In 2023, she decided to leave the company to form Hudson House Media. With more than four decades of experience on both sides of the Atlantic, Kozak has launched and led some of television’s most iconic series and specials. She is a visionary leader, an innovator and, above all, a storyteller. Under her leadership, Investigation Discovery became American’s #1 true crime destination. Kozak collaborated with some of the most innovative production companies in the US and UK and built a team of some of the television industry’s most creative storytellers. Kozak and her team helmed many of Warner Bros. Discovery's marquee series, including the groundbreaking EVIL LIVES HERE, HOUSE OF HAMMER, THE CURIOUS CASE OF NATALIA GRACE, JARED FROM SUBWAY: CATCHING A MONSTER and ALL QUIET ON SET. Kozak also served as an executive producer on WERNER HERZOG’S INTO THE ABYSS – a critically acclaimed feature documentary for Investigation Discovery, and the follow-up TV series, ON DEATH ROW. Before joining the ID team, Kozak was vice president of production for Discovery’s Emerging Networks, where she executive produced several hit series, including the Science Channel’s Emmy-nominated THROUGH THE WORMHOLE with Morgan Freeman. Prior to this, Kozak was senior executive producer for Discovery Channel, where she steered a range of series and specials including TWO WEEKS IN HELL, DESTROYED IN SECONDS and UFOS OVER EARTH. Previously, she was senior executive producer for TLC, launching the enduringly popular series SAY YES TO THE DRESS in 2007. Prior to joining Discovery Communications, Kozak served as series producer for BBC Productions USA and launching TLC’s hit series WHAT NOT TO WEAR. In her 12 years with the BBC Kozak series produced many highly successful food programmes, including the first season of SATURDAY KITCHEN. During the early part of her career, Kozak was a producer, director, event producer and sports journalist presenting Channel 4’s coverage of the U.S. Women’s Open Golf Championship in 1983. In the late 1980s, she specialized in military documentaries - developing and directing the prime time hit BOMB DISPOSAL MAN, for BBC1. Kozak is a member of BAFTA and a frequent panelist at industry events. She resides in New York.
Vice President, Content, Arrow Media
Dost joined Arrow Media in 2022 as Executive Producer. In his new role as Vice President, Content, he helps Arrow Media devise and deliver the company’s US strategy, driving relationships with new and existing clients. At Arrow, he has created and championed groundbreaking hits, including Discovery’s In The Eye of the Storm, Discovery’s highest-rated non-spinoff series in 3 years. His true crime credits at Arrow include the news series High Speed Chase, Married to Evil, Hostage 911, and Late Night Lockup (ID). Stephen was previously executive producer and VP of development at New York based production company Red Marble Media and has extensive experience in both production and development, spanning over 20 years. His work across history, science, crime and natural history programming includes: Evil Lives Here (ID, Max), Signs of a Psychopath (ID, Max), both still top ratings performers. Previous shows include Monsters Inside Me (Animal Planet), Space’s Deepest Secrets (Science Channel), Village of the Damned (ID), Gates of Hell (History Channel) and Your Bleep’d Up Brain (History Channel).
