Marie-Louise Muir is an award winning radio presenter and one of the UK and Ireland’s leading Arts broadcasters. Her distinctive voice has been heard in programmes all over the world and she is the go to person for many guests who comment on her warmth and skill in putting them at ease.
She has been working in the broadcast media since 1992 and has worked as a radio presenter for BBC Radio Ulster/BBC Radio Foyle, BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4 and the BBC World Service.
Marie-Louise is also a graduate of the prestigious BBC Production Trainee Scheme and worked for BBC Northern Ireland as a TV Assistant producer and director for 6 years.
From 2004 until October 2019 Marie Louise presented BBC Radio Ulster’s and BBC Northern Ireland television’s “The Arts Show”, sadly the arts show is no more, however Marie Louise is now presenting her new show “The Culture Cafe” on BBC Radio Ulster on Saturdays. She has also presented a highly successful “In Conversation” strand for television where she has applied her trademark ease and warmth as an interviewer with a lightly held knowledge of the arts.
Outside the broadcast media, Marie-Louise offers bespoke communication training with her company “Find Your Voice” and is much sought after for hosting after show events, public interviews, and conferences.
