Jacky Martens

Jacky Martens is an Assistant Editor at BBC’s flagship News at 10, where she runs the specials – looking at subjects from the soaring death rates in Mexico, opioid addiction in America, trafficking in Bangladesh, the invisible threads between terror attacks in Europe, to knife crime in the UK.  Formerly a field producer, she has worked across Africa and the Middle East, some of her reporting includes the insecurity in Congo, the civil war in Darfur, and the aftermath of the invasion of Iraq, the Arab spring and the fall of Hosni Mubarak and Muammar Gaddafi.
