What About Me

“Working in the industry can be tough, and it helps to know you have back up when you need it.  This session gives you an opportunity to meet with BECTU and the Film and Television Charity who can make a real difference.  Why not call in and see what they can do for you!

BECTU have an innovative track record of helping media professionals by:

  • Providing practical protection, independent advice and support at work
  • Providing help with legal fees and help to e.g recover late/unpaid fees
  • Offering huge discounts on public liability insurance
  • Supporting your career by providing free training, networking and development events
  • Offering help to negotiate your pay, terms and conditions and much more

We’re offering a drop in session so you can talk to us about what we can do for you.  We’ll have offers, giveaways and info on the day.

The Film and TV Charity work behind the scenes of the film and television industry in the UK. We provide:

  • Support for those in times of need
  • Support to remove barriers to opportunity, for example through dedicated funds such as our Going Places travel strand and our our Family Support Fund for carers
  • Talent development support, for example through our long running John Brabourne Awards
  • Practical advice on legal, financial and wellbeing issues, via our 24/7 Film and TV Support Line

Join us at our ‘What About Me’ session or drop by our booth located on the ground floor.

Location: The Works
Time: Day 2 Thursday 11.30 – 12.30
