About the event
Belfast Media Festival 2020
The Belfast Media Festival (BMF) is back after what has been the most challenging of times for the industry. The 11th BMF will be live on the 11th and 12th November (Covid Guidelines permitting) in The Mac in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter.
The Festival will be a chance to bring the industry together and enable us to meet and share our stories. As always, we will have something for everyone - students, freelancers, Indies, broadcasters and commissioners, as well as some well-known faces.
Last year over 1100 people registered and we welcomed over 700 each day.
We like to try something different each year, so this year our mantra is Regenerate, Innovate, Captivate and we are looking forward to working with our stakeholders, partners and our sponsors to make this a great year for the creative media industry.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Thanks to our
We couldn’t do all this without our sponsors, not least because our policy is free entry for all. We rely on them and are very grateful for their continued support to make the festival happen – and making it happen this year seems more important than ever.
Sponsor funding ensures a wide range of speakers and sessions, designed to stimulate and challenge, and this year especially, review what we have learned and look at how we move forward as an industry.
